State Number 4... Year Number 2

We have done our fair share of moving in the last two years.  Starting with just Mike and me in Grand Rapids, MI, Mike made the decision to take a "temporary" position in El Paso, Texas.  With just weeks until his planned date to be back in Grand Rapids, I get a phone call from Mike... "How do you feel about relocating to Dallas, Texas after the baby is born and you're done with school...?"  After many tearful conversations, we made the decision that it would be best for our family to move to North Richland Hills, Texas after I graduated from GVSU.

Sad goodbyes leaving Nana and Papa to head to Texas!

After sad goodbyes and many tears, Reese, Mike, and I would start our lives together in Texas where we thought we would be for 5 years... WRONG!  After just 5 months, Mike got an opportunity to make the move to Clarksville, Tennessee.  I was thrilled... It wouldn't be as hot there, if you know me, I hate the heat, and we would be closer to family.  So with Reese only 14 months old, not only was she moving to her third home, it was yet again in a new state.

So many smiles in Tennessee!

We LOVED Tennessee.  We made so many new friends there and loved our weekly trips to Nashville.  Was this true, did we finally find a place that we were going to stay for years instead on months?  Does Reese get to have her second birthday here in our house in Clarksville?? Well the answer to all of those questions was.. Nope, sorry... Its time to move again.

Reese's new best friend!  They LOVE each other!

One thing that I have learned with Mike's occupation, don't get comfortable in one spot for too long.  You will move again...

So here we go.. Reese 22 months old and onto state number 4... This one doesn't have the same ring as Tennessee... Its, O.H.I.O.  If there was one place I never thought I would live, it would be Ohio.  But we are here now, and we are making it our new home.  We have a beautiful home and great neighbors.  Reese loves that we live at the end of a cul de sac and she can ride her Power Wheels Volkswagen Beetle all over the road.  Fingers crossed that we will be here long enough to decorate the new baby's nursery and celebrate birthday number three here for Reese.

These ladies love to cruise around!

One thing is certian though... I will NEVER become a Ohio State fan!!  (My dad has made it very clear that we will be disowned if I do!)

Cousins Weekend.  October 2012!
